Second Lockdown in England from 5th November 2020

England is set to weather another lockdown from Thursday 5th November. This will affect all “non-essential” shops and businesses that operate from a physical space. The list of businesses which must close their doors can be found on the Gov.uk website.

As per government guidelines outlined on the above link, non-essential retail can remain open for delivery to customers and click-and-collect. Hospitality venues like restaurants, bars and pubs must close, but can still provide takeaway and delivery services. However, takeaway of alcohol will not be allowed.

WF Connected is still promoting the use of local businesses where possible. We have an option to browse businesses that are still trading during lockdown. You can find instructions for this on the Listings page.

If you have a businesses in Waltham Forest, you can still list it on this website for free. If your business is already listed, please update your listing to reflect if you are trading during lockdown.

We’re looking into ways we can help businesses trade online during this period, so please stay tuned for further announcements.
